What are the days and hours of operation? Where are you located?

The Tree House FCC is open mid-August through MayMonday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm. We are closed for all Wimberley ISD waiver days, holidays, and all WISD inclement weather closures. Limited summer care options are available in June & July.

The program is conveniently located in the heart of Wimberley, between Jacob's Well Elementary and the DJH/WHS campuses, with easy access to RR 2325.

What ages do you serve?

Children ages 3 - 5 years old who are potty trained, with a maximum of 6 children attending per day.

What kind of curriculum do you follow at the Tree House FCC?

Play-based learning and emergent learning are at the heart of how children learn in our program. It is through everyday play (guided and independent) and interactions with a teacher and peers that the children grow and thrive, while the thoughtfully prepared indoor and outdoor spaces set the stage for children's learning.

Long-term unit studies are often incorporated to focus on the children's unique interests, topics that hold meaning in our immediate community (i.e. learning about caterpillars and butterflies during the month of Emily Ann Theatre and Garden's annual Butterfly Festival), as well as seasonal events and holidays.

Do the children play outside every day?

Yes, we enjoy daily outdoor play time. Our outdoor play area is centered on lots of physical activity, messy fun, nature explorations, gardening, and outdoor art.

How are meals and snacks served?

Children bring their own breakfast and/or lunch, and we provide a morning and afternoon snack. The children and teacher sit together for meals, and we focus on self-help skills, and age-appropriate table manners.

What about parent - provider communication?

Parent - provider communication is maintained in various ways:

  • Daily conversations each and every day during drop off and pickup times

  • Monthly newsletters that share updates on topics the children are learning about, important dates, activities, and events ahead

  • A Parent Information Board with the week's menu and activity plan, a current monthly newsletter, our daily schedule, and the program annual calendar

  • Phone calls and emails, with prompt response time from the teacher
