About The Program

Branch

At The Tree House FCC, children learn and have fun in a warm home setting with a caring and experienced early childhood educator. Unlike most preschool classroom settings, our children benefit from the low caregiver-to-child ratio: 1 caregiver to 6 kids, each day. This allows for individualized care and education for each child, and strong child/caregiver/family connections!

Program Values

Honor the WHOLE CHILD by…

  • Respecting each individual as a unique and valued being, while recognizing their place in life: developmentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • Creating an intentional learning environment that is based on the understanding of how children learn, what they know and understand now, and what they want and need to learn next for future success in school and in life.

Nurture the FAMILY UNIT by...

  • Recognizing the family as the child’s first and most important teacher.

  • Supporting ongoing parental involvement, participation, and parent education.

  • Providing a high-quality, reliable child care service that helps families successfully manage and maintain the balance of family and career.

Foster a CREATIVE, PLAY-BASED ENVIRONMENT by...

  • Providing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, activities, toys, and materials on a daily basis.

  • Honoring an open-ended approach with children's creative and play endeavors, and recognizing young ones as capable makers, thinkers, and creators.

  • Allowing children ample time and opportunity for individual choice and inquiry in their learning space.

About Me

Hello! I'm Rochelle, a self-proclaimed early childhood education enthusiast and former preschool administrator, following my journey as a home-based family child care provider for children ages 3 to 5 years.

Early childhood education is and always will be a big part of my life. I have had the honor of working with children and families since 1999. My work has been guided and shaped by key concepts of play-based and emergent curriculum, my college education, wonderful children and families I have come to know and develop relationships with, working side-by-side with fellow early childhood professionals, extensive classroom experience, and volunteer work with children in various settings.

I am excited to serve the needs of the children and families in my sweet home town,

Wimberley, TX.
